New Park Hotel

I stayed a night at New Park Hotel. The rooms are clean. The WiFi is good. I got a room with a most beautiful view of the Park. The hotel is also very close to the metro with easy access to the rest of the city. The hotel is a stone throw away from Kizilay. All in all, an excellent comfortable stay.

The hotel was OK - just that. The staff was very nice, speaking good English, but the amenities were definitely not worthy of five stars. Breakfast was good (except coffee - see below), plenty to choose from. We did not hear traffic at nights (through closed windows), air conditioning was good (it was very hot outside).

While the hotel is not a real 5-star as some reviewers indicated, the breakfast was one of the best we had in the two-week's trip and we enjoyed excellent selections of different Turkish breakfast items. You can order omelet from several options and are very delicious, and the varieties of the cheese are plentiful. There is also a salad bar with good selection of bakery items and fruits. The staff are kind and helpful. The location is ideal, just across the street from the Kolej Metro station, and not far from the Kizilay square.

The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. We appreciated the staff's proactiveness in offering us a very early check-in when we arrived at 7am that day. We had mini hiccups with the room card, but that was quickly solved by the staff. The location was right beside the metro (which goes directly to the Ankara bus terminal) and had a variety of convenience stores and restaurants in the area. Breakfast was awesome, we loved the spread of food. Guest services also went beyond to inform us about activities in the hotel and check in on our stay.

Well located, staff were super helpful with arranging transport for the family. Warm easy welcome and great check in. The concierge service was awesome in highlighting some sight seeing activities for the family, the must-sees and the not so must-sees. Oh and for a family of four that don’t travel light the room size was more than adequate. And the night live entertainment in bar/cafe was an absolute blast.
